LEXINGTON, Ky. – Concordia University Wisconsin was honored by the American Volleyball Coaches Association for team academic excellence, the organization announced. The Falcons also had their most successful season on the court in program history with 24 victories.

CUW achieved a 3.52 team grade point average, surpassing the minimum 3.30 team grade point average to be eligible for the accolade. The Falcons previously won the award from 2003-10 and in 2000. They were also one of 140 NCAA Division III programs to receive the recognition.

The Falcons were also acknowledged for reaching their Dig Pink fundraising goal of over $500.

During the 2014 season, CUW finished with a 24-7 overall record, which were the most wins in a single season in program history. They had a 10-1 record in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference play and earned the No. 2 seed in the NACC Tournament.
