KENOSHA, Wis. – Three student-athletes for the Concordia University Wisconsin Track & Field program competed at the Carthage Final Qualifier Friday. The meet is held as one of the final opportunities for athletes to get top marks in attempts to qualify for nationals or take aim at school records.
Taylor Corkum posted her season-best effort in the pole vault, clearing 3.56 meters. Her mark ranks 34th nationally and the top 16 qualify for the NCAA Championships. Corkum will likely compete Saturday at UW-Stevens Point.
Alden Goucher and Jordan Kelly competed in jumps events. Goucher took part in the triple jump and she recorded a mark of 11.14 meters. Kelly competed in the long jump as he leaped 6.58 meters.
The Falcons have one more last chance meet on the schedule, at UW-Stevens Point Saturday.
