Edgewood College is the coaches' pick to win the 2009 NAC women's tennis title, according to the preseason poll. Edgewood, winner of last year's NAC championship, tallied 10 of 12 first place votes for 142 poll points. The Eagles went a perfect 10-0 in NAC duals last season before claiming the conference championship by 25 points over runner-up Aurora University.

CUW (9-7, 8-2 NAC), had won the prior two NAC championships, and was picked second with 124 points and a first place vote. Aurora (8-4, 9-1) was picked third with 119 points, while MSOE (7-7, 7-3) was fourth with 96 points and the remaining first place vote.

"We have several excellent young players coming in," smiled Falcon coach Dave Mooney. "I am very excited about the opportunity to bring the conference trophy back to Mequon. Pre-season polls for this sport are usually based on the previous season. We are looking at THIS season and feeling good about our chances."
