CUW women booters open on the road

MEQUON, Wis. Ryan Middendorf's Concordia Wisconsin booters travel to Lake Forest this Friday for a 5:00pm non conference opener.

The Foresters had a rare sub .500 season in 2011, finishing 7-11-0 and 3-6-0 in league play after four consecutive 7-2-0 ledgers in the Midwest Conference.   Junior Courtenay Raymond (6 goals and 4 assists) and sophomore Megan O' Connor (5 goals and 1 assist) are the main offensive threats for Lake Forest.

The Foresters defeated CUW 2-1 in overtime last season with O'Connor knocking home the game winner in the 102nd minute.  Senior Lauren Straehler accounted for the lone Falcon tally.

Then on Sunday the Falcons travel to Rock Island, Illinois to battle host Augustana at 1:00pm.  The Vikings, who compete in the powerful CCIW, were 11-8-1 a year ago behind current senior Taylor Moesle who scored seven goals in 2011 and heads into her final campaign with a running career tally of 28 scores and 17 assists.
