MEQUON, Wis. – Head coach Emily Mason announced the Concordia University Wisconsin 2013 women's lacrosse schedule on Monday. The schedule is highlighted by six home dates, including two-consecutive home games to begin the season.

The schedule features 14 games in all – six at home and eight on the road – with six contests against non-conference opponents and eight against Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference foes. Overall, the Falcons will play five first-year programs this season.

CUW begins the season with back-to-back home games against Fontbonne University (St. Louis, Mo.) and the College of Wooster (Wooster, Ohio) on March 16 and 20, respectively. The Falcons are 1-1 against FU after defeating the Griffins 10-6 last season. CW is the most experienced program – finished 12-5-1 last season – CUW will face this season, with the Fighting Scots entering their 13th season.

The matchup against FU will begin MWLC play for both schools.

The Falcons then travel to Aurora University (Aurora, Ill.) and Augustana College (Rock Island, Ill.) for back-to-back games on Mar. 26-27. The Spartans are a first-year program, while the Vikings are entering their second year after going 15-3 in during their inaugural campaign. CUW lost a 23-4 contest at AC last season.

A home date on April 4 against Robert Morris University (Chicago, Ill.) at 4 p.m. precedes another road non-conference, back-to-back set of games at the University of Dubuque (Dubuque, Iowa) and Loras College (Dubuque, Iowa). The Falcons lost a heartbreaking non-conference game, 11-10, at RMU last season. CUW has never played UD or LC, with the Duhawks entering the year as a first-year program.

CUW returns home for a single MWLC game on Apr. 11 against North Central College (Naperville, Ill.). The Falcons are 0-2 all-time against the Cardinals, having lost by a combined score of 28-11.

Games on consecutive dates, Apr. 13 and 14, await the Falcons when they travel to Transylvania University (Lexington, Ky.) and the College of Mount. St. Joseph (Cincinnati, Ohio). TU is a first-year program, while CMSJ has a 2-0 lead in the series against the Falcons after defeating them 17-11 in Mequon, Wis., a season ago.

CUW returns to action on Apr. 16 and 17 with an away game at MWLC-rival Carthage College (Kenosha, Wis.) before hosting Beloit College (Beloit, Wis.) at Fitting Field. The Lady Reds have owned the series against the Falcons, having won all three matchups by a combined score of 57-2. The Vikings are a first-year program in 2013.

The final home game of the season will be on Apr. 20 as CUW hosts Benedictine University (Lisle, Ill.), another first-year program. An Apr. 27 road trip to Otterbein University (Westerville, Ohio) concludes the 2013 schedule for the Falcons.
