Ellie Woodman, a junior blueliner for the Concordia University Wisconsin Women's Hockey team, has been named to the Team of the Week, the website announced Wednesday.

Woodman (Janesville, Wis.) posted a +6 rating and had three points for the Falcons in a sweep over Trine this past weekend. The junior defender scored a goal in each game, including the game-winning score in Friday's 2-1 win over the Thunder. She added an assist in Friday's win as well.

The two wins for the Falcons last weekend helped the team secure a No. 4 seed in the upcoming Slaats Cup Playoffs. The Falcons are back in the conference tournament for the first time since 2014-15, a year in which CUW reached the title game.

Woodman and the Falcons will take on St. Scholastica in the opening round of the Slaats Cup Playoffs this weekend. The series will be a two-game set with a mini-game if necessary. The first contest is Friday night at 7 p.m. in Duluth, Minnesota.
