MEQUON, Wis. – Lexi Holman scored a first-period goal to inch closer to the Concordia University Wisconsin Women's Hockey career mark, but it was not enough as the Falcons fell 2-1 against Bethel Saturday. Sarah Moy tallied two goals for the Royals, helping hand the Falcons their first Saturday defeat of the 2017-18 season.

- Final Score:
Bethel 2, Concordia Wisconsin 1
- Location: Ozaukee Ice Center – Mequon, Wisconsin
- Records: Bethel 5-7-1; Concordia Wisconsin 7-6-1

- Holman (Sauk Rapids, Minn.) got the scoring started Saturday with her 35th career goal, coming 14:02 into the opening stanza. The senior is now one goal shy of tying Sarah Luberda atop the Falcons career goals scored list. Chloe Bachman (St. Peter, Minn.) and Ellie Woodman (Janesville, Wis.) assisted on the Holman score.

- Moy had the game's final two goals, the tying score in the second and the game-winner in the third period. In the second (12:57), Moy converted a power play score. She would add the game-winner 8:40 into the final period.

- Breanna Thomson (St Marys, Ontario) totaled 34 saves for the Falcons, including 13 in each of the first two stanzas. Lauren Topor made 25 saves for the Royals.

- The Falcons finished the game 0-for-3 on the power play while the Royals countered with a 1-for-2 attack.

- Holman has 11 games remaining in the regular season as she attempts to become the Falcons all-time leading goal scorer. The senior captain has six goals this season, second on the team (Kristen Kennedy – 7).

- The Falcons owned a 5-0-1 record on Saturdays this season before today's setback.

- The Falcons are off next weekend and will return to action in two weeks with a two-game NCHA set at St. Scholastica. The opener of that series is set for Friday, January 19 at 4 p.m.
