MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia University Wisconsin Women's Hockey entered Friday's non-conference contest against Bethel having shut out each of its last three opponents. That wouldn't be the case Friday, as the Royals scored six times in a 6-3 setback for the Falcons. The game was the first in over a month for the Falcons, who fell to 7-5-1.

THE BASICS
- Final Score:
Bethel 6, Concordia Wisconsin 3
- Location: Ozaukee Ice Center – Mequon, Wisconsin
- Records: Bethel 4-7-1; CUW 7-5-1

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The start of the game was delayed a few minutes due to a Zamboni issue early on. The Royals came out firing when the puck finally dropped, scoring 44 seconds into play, quickly ending the Falcons shutout streak. Bethel scored three times in the first 11:29 for a 3-0 lead.

- The Falcons responded with the next two goals, both coming in the opening stanza. Kristen Kennedy (London, Ontario) scored her team-leading seventh goal of the season 12:16 into play to make the score 3-1.

- It was senior Lexi Holman (Sauk Rapids, Minn.) who struck next for the Falcons, securing a power play goal with 4:53 left in the opening period. Holman's goal was the 34th of her career, as she is now two goals shy of tying the Falcons career mark (Sarah Luberda – 36). Kennedy and Natasha Wanless assisted on the play.

- Bethel would score the only goal of the second period, and added the first score of the third period to take another three-goal lead. Briita Nelson tallied both scores to make the score 5-2. Emily Godwin (London, Ontario) made the score 5-3 with a Falcons score midway through the third. The Royals would add a power play goal in the final minute for the 6-3 final.

- CUW finished the game 1-for-2 on the power play while limiting the Bethel to one power play score (a 5-on-3 goal) on five chances. Christina Pattengale (Portage, Mich.) made 38 saves for the Falcons, while Maggie Straka made 19 for Bethel.
