Lake Forest skates past Women's Hockey

MEQUON, Wis. – It was all Lake Forest in the Concordia University Wisconsin Women's Hockey 2017-18 home opener as the Foresters defeated the Falcons, 8-0, Friday night.

THE BASICS
- Final Score: Lake Forest 8, CUW 0
- Location: Ozaukee Ice Center – Mequon, Wisconsin
- Records: LFC 1-2, 1-0 NCHA; CUW 1-2, 0-1 NCHA

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Foresters scored twice in the first period and added three goals in both the second and third frames for the 8-0 final. Amy Budde, who scored both first period goals, finished the game with a hat trick for Lake Forest.

- Christina Pattengale (Portage, Mich.) made 47 saves for the Falcons Friday night. CUW tallied 16 shots, all stopped by the Foresters Jacque Rogers.

- Four of the eight goals by Lake Forest came on the power play. The Foresters finished 4-for-7 with the advantage, while CUW was 0-for-3.

UP NEXT
- The Falcons and Foresters will meet again tomorrow at 3 p.m. at the Ozaukee Ice Center.
