Head Women's Hockey Coach Steve Fabiilli has announced that Nicole Krumwiede will begin her first season as a graduate assistant with the Falcons program during the 2017-18 season. Krumwiede joins the coaching staff after a four-year playing career with the Falcons.

Krumwiede skated in 82 games for the Falcons during her career and helped lead the team to the Slaats Cup Final during her sophomore season. In a 2-1 semifinal win over No. 4 Adrian, Krumwiede scored the game-winning goal to lift the Falcons into the finals.

She finished her career with 13 points, scoring seven goals, including two in her first career collegiate game. She was named an assistant captain for her senior season and skated in at least 19 games in every season. Krumwiede was also a three-time NCHA All-Academic selection.

Krumwiede will be working towards a Master's Degree in Applied Exercise Science while coaching with the Falcons. She received her undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology in the spring of 2017.
