WAUKESHA, Wis. – Concordia University Wisconsin junior goaltender Jennifer DeGeorge was named the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association's Defensive Player of the Week. She won the award for the events of November 18-24, as was announced by the league office Tuesday.
DeGeorge (Waukesha, Wis.) helped CUW gain two points in the NCHA standings by making 24 saves and posting a .923 save percentage against Marian University last Thursday night. She made several big stops throughout the game and was a big reason the Falcons were able to secure the 5-2 victory.
DeGeorge and the Falcons have this week off before returning to action next weekend. CUW will host St. Norbert in a NCHA weekend series at the Ozaukee Ice Center. The opening game is set for Friday, December 6 at 7 p.m.
