The Concordia University Wisconsin men's and women's hockey programs will host the annual "Pink the Rink" weekend at the Ozaukee Ice Center this Friday and Saturday, February 1 and 2. The event will feature two games and the Falcons will wear pink jerseys with those jerseys.
The CUW men’s hockey team downed Lake Forest in overtime to improve to 7-11-3 on the year. The Foresters came into the game leading the NCHA South Division. The Falcons won in overtime to secure the 2-1 victory to move to 5-7-2 in the NCHA.
The CUW men’s hockey team picked up a key Northern Collegiate Hockey Association victory on Friday evening over Aurora. The Falcons walked away with a 5-3 victory over the Spartans to move into a tie for fourth place in the NCHA South Division. The win propels CUW to 6-11-3 and 4-7-2 in NCHA action. Aurora falls to 9-11-0 and 6-7-0 in the NCHA.
The Falcons four-game unbeaten streak ended on Saturday afternoon at Adrian. The ninth-ranked Bulldogs walked away with a 5-3 victory to send CUW to 5-11-3 on the season and 3-7-2 in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association. Adrian improves to 13-5-1 and to 8-3-1 in NCHA action.
The Falcons are riding momentum out of New York with a 2-0 victory in a shootout over the No. 9-ranked Seahawks of Salve Regina. The game officially ended in a 4-4 tie and moves CUW to 3-10-2 on the year.
