MEQUON, Wis.- Pre-season basketball scrimmages are just that, but it bodes well that the Concordia Wisconsin men played evenly with defending National Champion UW- Whitewater last evening in the team's first opportunity to bang bodies with someone other than themselves.

"We were balanced offensively in the scrimmage last night and I expect that to be the case all season," said head coach Shawn Cassidy.  "We have a dozen guys who are interchangeable at this point and it is entirely possible that we could have ten guys averaging about seven points per game during the season."

"Brian Jackson and Malcolm Bowers kind of stood out last evening, but we need to do a better job on the boards as a team.  That will remain a point of emphasis," said Cassidy.

The teams played two "halves" with CUW winning the first by seven points and UW-W outscoring the Falcons by five in the second.

Cassidy's Falcons have ten days to prepare for their November 16th opener at Carroll.
