MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- Concordia Wisconsin's Aaron Nixon was named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced.
Nixon, a senior quarterback from North Prairie, Wisconsin, was responsible for seven touchdowns - four through the air (80, 9, 16, 78) and three on the ground (15, 1, 1) - as the Falcons went on the road and opened up NACC play with a 48-40 win at Benedictine Saturday. He threw for 410 yards without an interception and rushed for 39 yards on 19 carries. The bulk of Nixon's yards came on two long touchdown passes - an 80-yarder to Josh Sanders late in the opening quarter and a 78-yard strike to Jake Riportella in the fourth. This is Nixon's second NACC Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season.
