Aurora Spartans visit CUW on Saturday

Mequon, Wis.- The Aurora Spartans (2-4) come to Mequon/>/> Saturday as a statistical mirror image of the host Falcons (2-4).

Each has defeated Maranatha handily and lost to Benedictine by a touchdown in conference action.

Aurora />/>has rushed for 886 yards and a 3.5 yards per carry average (identical to CUW) in their six outings. Greg Coulouris, Jace Koerner (who comes into the game as a quarterback), and Steve Rivera have combined for most of those rushing yards.

Joseph Paul (390) and Carlton Austin (259) have combined for the majority of Concordia's rushing yards.

Quarterback Jimmy Bevell, one of 3 Spartan QBs to see significant action this season, has completed 67 of 117 passes (57.3%) for 883 yards and 7 TDs. Overall, The Spartans complete 53% of their throws (same as CUW) for 220 yards per game.

Austin Damaschke, who has started the last three games as the Concordia signal caller, also has connected on 57% of his throws.

Aurora's top receivers are Jordan Peterson with 32 receptions for 446 yards and Evan Hackbarth who has 20 catches for 387 yards.

Erik West leads CUW receivers with 23 catches for 325 yards.
