Preview: Baseball takes on No. 8 Concordia Chicago in NACC DH

MEQUON, Wis. – Following another week of many postponements and inclement weather, the Concordia University Wisconsin Baseball team is finally set to play again, welcoming Concordia Chicago to Kapco Park Friday.

The Falcons have not gotten off to the start they had hoped for in NACC play, sporting a 1-4 record through five games...CUW is hitting just .219 as a team in conference games...Matt Luft (.546), Christian Gerner (.417), and Peter Scott (.353) have been strong in the conference season for the Falcons...Scott has driven in seven runs in conference play and has a double and home run over five games.

The Cougars are currently ranked eighth nationally...CUC has captured the last five NACC Championships and qualified for the 2017 NCAA Division III World Series...Joe Silva and Andrew Massey have been the top hitters for the Cougars, Silva owning a .394 average, while Massey is hitting .385 with 24 RBI...CUC has seven pitchers who have thrown at least 20 innings this season.
