ACHA Hockey falls in home opener

MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia University Wisconsin ACHA Men's Hockey team was defeated 7-1 on Saturday by Marquette in their home opener.

THE BASICS

-Records: Marquette 2-0, Concordia Wisconsin 0-2

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Nathan Farias netted a hat trick and two assists for the Golden Eagles in their seven-goal effort. Conor Coyne had two goals and three assists while Ian Burr and Michael DeSalvo added a goal each. DeSalvo also contributed with three assists.
-Andrew Doepp (New Lenox, Ill.) scored the lone goal for the Falcons. Benny Serres (Merton, Wis.) and Jonathon Grodzki (Tampa Bay, Fla.) assisted Doepp with his second-period goal.
-The Golden Eagles had a 40-16 advantage in shots and had 13 assists to the Falcons two.
