Michael Fahey, a Buffalo, New York native is in his sixth season as Concordia Wisconsin's Men's Lacrosse head coach in 2019. During his guidance, the program has won double-digit games in all five seasons, including a program-record 14 during the 2014 campaign. He was promoted to head coach by Director of Athletics Dr. Rob Barnhill on May 5, 2014, after serving as the program's interim head coach in 2014.

A staple of the Fahey-led Men's Lacrosse program has been defense, as the program has set numerous program records and ranks highly each year in statistical categories at the national level. During the 2018 campaign, they were seventh nationally in man-down defense (.850) and also 10th in scoring defense (6.68). His efforts have also helped goalkeeper Garrett Wohlford earn Midwest Lacrosse Conference Defensive Player of the Year honors three-consecutive time, making him the only player to accomplish the feat. In addition, during the 2018 season they had a 111-37 scoring differential.

Fahey was named the Midwest Lacrosse Conference Coach of the Year in 2016 after guiding the team to a 12-5 record and an appearance in the MLC Tournament Championship game for the second-straight year. He has also coached 30 All-MLC players since taking over the program, which includes 11 All-MLC First Team performers and Garrett Wohlford who was named the MLC Defensive Player of the Year and MLC Rookie of the Year in 2016. During the 2015 season, the Falcon led all of NCAA Division III in man-up offense, scoring on 55.4 percent (31-of-56) of their opportunities. They also ranked second nationally in man-down defense, giving up goals just 10.2 percent of the time.

The 2016 season saw the Falcons advance to the MLC Tournament Championship game for the second-straight season. They won their first-ever MLC Tournament game at home (12-7 win over Benedictine on May 4). CUW posted an impressive 7-2 record at Fitting Field and ranked fourth nationally in man-down defense (.863). They also led the MLC in league-only games in man-up goals (13), man-up percentage (.591) and save percentage (.605).

During the 2014 season, CUW ranked second nationally in man-up offense, scoring on 50 percent of its chances. They were also sixth in assists per game, seven in points per game and eighth in scoring margin.

During Fahey's two years as a graduate assistant, the Falcons went 18-14, posting 9-7 records in both seasons. In his first year (2012), CUW advanced to the MLC Tournament after posting a 5-4 record in conference play.

Fahey came to CUW after a distinguished playing career. He spent two years at Onondaga Community College where he was a member of the 2007 NJCAA Lacrosse National Championship team. Following that he played at Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, N.C.

He graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor's Degree in physical education from Lees-McRae College. Fahey was named academic all-conference multiple semesters and during his senior season Lees-McRae College he helped the program to a No. 2 ranking in the NCAA in saves per game.
