Women's Track & Field competes at Cedarville Meet

The women throwers continue to impress when freshman Karli Tatum (Milwaukee, Wis.) threw a PR toss of 11.9 meters getting her third place and six points for the team. Tatum also had a personal record in the discus throw. In the hammer throw, sophomore Alexandra Ezell (Kenosha, Wis.) hit a big PR toss of 35.38 meters along while Sarah Carini (Saukville, Wis.) had a throw of 22.56 meters. Sophomore Courtney Gilge (Phillips, Wis.) had PR throws in both the hammer and discus with 31.04 meters and 29.92 meters, respectively. Sophomore Mary Heinz (Clintonville, Wis.) also threw PRs in the discus (29.44) and hammer (31.04).
Freshman Sara Hirschmann (Milwaukee, Wis.) scored four points for the Falcons in the long jump with 4.88 meters and freshman Marissa Krohn (Brookfield, Wis.) hit a PR jump of 4.12m. Also scoring for CUW in the jumps was freshman Allison Justus (Arnold, Mo.) in the triple jump, scoring five points with her 9.08 meters jump. Junior Kristin Sitte (Greenfield, Wis.) vaulted over 2.45m, her best in the event.
On the track PRs included freshman Larissa Schlitz (DeForest, Wis.) in the 5000 (20:17.1), junior Anna Pacheco (Iron Mountain, Mich.) in the 200 (32.37) and Krohn in the 100 (15.37) and javelin (22.52m).
The Falcons will be back competing next weekend when they participate in the Wisconsin Private College Championships. The meet will be hosted by St. Norbert College and begin at 10:30 a.m.
