CUW women finish 8th at Karl Schlender Invitational
WHITEWATER, Wis.- Concordia Wisconsin scored 34.5 points to finish eighth of 11 competing schools at the UW-Whitewater Invitational held Saturday. The hosts won the meet with a 225 point tally.
The 800 meter run provided multiple highlights for CUW female tracksters as Falcon runners finished second, seventh, and eighth in that event. Jessica Hennig ran an impressive 2:29.8 to finish behind only UW-Whitewater's Megan Buse.
Caitlyn Stern and Jessica Rice also earned points with top eight finishes. Stern was clocked in 2:37.8 and Rice in 2:38.8.
CUW's Jolyn Achs earned two points with a seventh place finish in the women's 3000 meter run.
Hennig, Larissa Schlitz, Kristin Sitte, and Emily Mauermann raced their way to a second place performance in the 4x400 relay. Mauermann also tied for 5th in the high jump.
