Women's Tennis hosts Aurora in first round of NAC Tournament

MEQUON, Wis. -- Concordia University Wisconsin begins Northern Athletics Conference Tournament play on Monday at 4:30 p.m. when it hosts Aurora University in the first round at North Shore Country Club. The Falcons enter the dual match as the No. 3 seed, while the Spartans are the No. 6 overall seed.

CUW (11-10) is led by seniors Jaclyn Ward (Franklin, Wis.) and Callie Reinke (West Allis, Wis.) who have each won 12 singles matches this year. Freshman Amanda Ropiak (Franklin, Wis.) has won three-consecutive matches for the Falcons.

In doubles play, the combination of senior Julie Spransy (Brown Deer, Wis.) and Ward are 11-8 overall. In the fall they finished 7-0 against league doubles opponents.

AU (7-9) is led by Jordan Hankes and Natalie Jansen who each have won eight singles matches. In doubles play, the duo of Emily Kuntzi and Andrea Pacheco have defeated five doubles opponents.

The NAC women's tennis regular season schedule is played in the fall, but the tournament is played in the spring.
