WAUKESHA, Wis. – Senior Tabitha Ortiz has been named the NACC Women's Soccer Student-Athlete for the events of October 16-22, the league office announced Monday.
Ortiz (Plainfield, Ill.) recorded 21 saves over three matches for the Falcons last week, including 14 over the last two, both 1-0 shutout wins over Concordia Chicago and UW-Oshkosh. She also had seven saves against MSOE earlier in the week, and one of the two goals she allowed in 270:00 of action was on a penalty kick.
Ortiz ranks second in the NACC with a .817 save percentage and fourth with a 1.26 goals against average.
The Falcons will conclude the regular season Wednesday on the road against Alverno at 3 p.m. CUW will also host a home NACC Tournament match on Sunday, at a time still to be determined.
