Women’s Soccer Hosts NAC Foe Alverno College on Saturday
MEQUON, Wis. - The
Falcons' women's soccer team begins a difficult four-match Northern
Athletics Conference homestand on Saturday against Alverno College
at 3:30 p.m. at Fitting Field. The homestand is the longest on
CUW's schedule.

For the first time in head coach
Ryan Middendorf's coaching career at CUW (4-3-0, 4-0-0 NAC) his
squad has begun a conference season 4-0-0. The Falcons follow the
Alverno match with contests against MSOE, Aurora University, and
Edgewood College - schools that have perennially been on top of the
league.
The Falcons feature a potent
offense that is ranked 14th in the nation (DIII) as of Sept. 18. In
four league matches CUW has outscored its opponents 27-1 and have
an 18-goal advantage overall.
Junior Lauren Straehler
(Pewaukee, Wis.) leads the team with eight goals and two
game-winning goals. She is also ranked nationally in the top-39 in
five different individual categories.
CUW's defense is ranked first in
the NAC with a 0.25 goals against average.
Middendorf's squad
continues its homestand on Wednesday, Sept. 28 at 4 p.m. against
NAC rival MSOE at Fitting Field.
