Carthage Edges Women’s Soccer 2-0

KENOSHA, Wis. -- Concordia University Wisconsin women's soccer team suffered a 2-0 loss at Carthage College (2-2-1) Tuesday night.

At the 33:30 mark, Kayla Tripp broke away from the Falcon defense to put the Redmen's first goal past Samantha Anacker (junior, Janesville, Wis.).

With 18 minutes left in the match, Rachel Jason scored on a header off an Alyssa Baker corner kick to secure the win for Carthage. Anacker finished the night with five saves for Ryan Middendorf's booters.

The Falcons (1-3-0) return home for a Thursday afternoon 4 p.m. match against Maranatha Bible Baptist College at Fitting Field. It is the first of eight-consecutive Northern Athletics Conference matches for the Falcons.
