Falcon booters overwhelm Lakeland

The CUW women's soccer team finished their regular NAC season with a convincing 7-0 road win over Lakeland yesterday afternoon.

Concordia (8-1-2 in the league) scored 4 times in the first 17 minutes and coasted home. The Falcons have outscored their three most recent opponents by a cumulative 30-0.

Casey Pulver found the back of the net twice for Ryan Middendorf's team while Emily Waldorf, Renee Hecker, Becky Ott, Abby Hoeflich, and Kelly Sippel added solo tallies. Waldorf added a pair of assists as CUW improved to 12-5-2 overall.

The competition will improve Saturday as the #3 seeded Falcons host #6 Marian at 1:00pm in the first round of the NAC tournament. CUW won the schools' earlier meeting 4-3 in overtime.
