MEQUON, Wis. - After going 1-1 on the road against Adrian College last weekend, the Concordia University Wisconsin women's hockey team returns home on Friday for two games against University of Wisconsin-Superior at the Ozaukee Ice Center.
Last weekend at Adrian, the Falcons (7-6-1, 5-4-0 NCHA) won 3-2 on Saturday night before falling to the Bulldogs 7-3 on Sunday afternoon.
Freshman forward Samantha Reiter (Stillwater, Minn.) had a solid weekend for CUW, scoring two goals while adding one assist between the two games.
Also, senior forward Hilary Christiansen (Eagan, Minn.) tied the school record for career assists with her 50th career helper last Sunday, and needs only one more to become Concordia's all-time assists leader.
UW-Superior (7-5-2, 6-3-1 NCHA) hosted St. Norbert College last weekend, defeating the Green Knights 3-1 on Friday before falling 1-0 on Saturday.
The Yellow Jackets boast the top defense in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association, allowing only 12 goals in conference play so far this season.
Offensively, Superior has been carried by the young duo of forwards Dani Schultz and Kelsey Firkus, who have combined for 15 goals and 26 points through 14 games.
