MEQUON, Wis. - After hosting a couple of non-conference opponents last weekend, the Concordia University Wisconsin women's hockey team will make a weekend trip to Adrian, Mich. for two games against Northern Collegiate Hockey Association rival Adrian College inside the Arrington Ice Arena.
The Falcons (6-5-1, 4-3-0 NCHA) are currently in sixth place in the NCHA standings, and will be hoping to climb up the conference rankings as the season's second half stretch rolls on.
CUW welcomed a pair of Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference programs to the Ozaukee Ice Center last weekend, losing to St. Catherine University 3-2 on Friday before earning a 3-3 draw against Hamline University on Saturday.
The Falcons will hope to generate some momentum from the game against Hamline, when Concordia battled back to tie the Pipers on a goal from junior defenseman Sara Cole (Plymouth, Minn.) in the final moments of regulation.
Christiansen leads the team with 14 points and 11 assists, and needs only two more to become the school's all-time assists leader.
Issackson has scored a team-high eight goals to date, and is only four scores away from breaking the program's all-time goals record.
Adrian (5-7-2, 3-5-2 NCHA) is right behind the Falcons in the conference standings, but is coming off two lopsided losses at Rochester Institute of Technology last weekend.
The Bulldogs are led by wingers Danielle Smith and Olivia Rork, who have combined for 10 goals and 19 points overall.
Saturday night's game will begin at 6 p.m., before Sunday afternoon's game gets started at 1 p.m.
