Women’s Hockey hosts Finlandia in two-game weekend series
MEQUON, Wis. - Concordia University Wisconsin's women's hockey program will conclude a three-game homestand this weekend against Northern College Hockey Association foe Finlandia University.
Friday's contest begins at 7 p.m. at the Ozaukee Ice Center (Cedarburg, Wis.) and will feature live video/radio with Ashley Gorski and Tom Rodgers on the play-by-play radio call.
Saturday's matchup will take place at 12 p.m. at the Bradley Center in downtown Milwaukee. Fans unable to make the game can listen to Gorski and Rodgers play-by-play radio call.

Through the first four games of the season the Falcons have alternated wins and losses, with a recent 4-3 defeat coming against Lake Forest College this past Tuesday. CUW fell behind 2-0 after the first period before fighting back to tie the game at 2-2 before the second intermission. Both teams traded goals in the third period, but the Foresters scored with less than five minutes remaining to win the game.
Freshman Emily Heckendorf (Merrill, Wis.), junior Sara Cole (Plymouth, Wis.) and senior Hilary Christiansen (Eagan, Minn.) also scored a goal against the Foresters. Freshman Andrea Mizanskey (Palos Heights, Ill.) recorded 22 saves in the loss.
On the season, Heckendorf and Christiansen lead CUW with six points apiece, with Heckendorf tallying three goals so far this season. Christiansen leads the Falcons with four assists.
In goal, Mizanskey and freshman Kaitlyn Evans (Fairbanks, Alaska) have split time between the pipes and each have a 1-1-0 record. Mizanskey has recorded 63 saves (.900), while Evans has rejected 58 shot attempts (.853).
