Stacey Brunner-Jones completed her 12th season at the helm of the Concordia University Wisconsin Women's Basketball program in 2015-16. She is the winningest head coach in program history and has led the Falcons to six conference titles, two appearances in the NCAA Division III Tournament and has been named conference Coach of the Year three times.
Brunner-Jones has coached 42 all-conference players, including Brianna Wagner (2014-15 NACC Freshman of the Year), Katie Luethe (2013-14 NACC Player of the Year and D3Hoops.com All-Central Region Second Team and 2010-11 Freshman of the Year), Asia Beckum (2006-07 Freshman of the Year) and Krista Mayyou (2005-06 LMC Rookie of the Year).
In addition, Brunner-Jones was named the conference's Coach of the Year twice (2015-16, 2007-08, 2006-07).
The 2015-16 season saw the Falcons capture the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference regular season title with a 17-3 record and the No. 1 seed in the NACC Tournament. They were 9-3 at home and won 20 games for the ninth time in program history and the fifth time in the Brunner-Jones era. The Falcons led the NACC in league-only games in free throws made per game (15.1), defensive rebounds per game (28.5), rebounding margin (8.5) and point allowed per game (53.8). CUW also set the program's single season record for defensive field goal percentage (36.7).
During the 2014-15 season, CUW led the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference in defensive 3-point field goal percentage (28.0) and averaged the second most blocks (3.4 per game). In 2013-14 she guided the Falcons to the program's eighth 20-plus win season, including the fourth in her tenure. Brunner-Jones also coached Katie Luethe, the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Player of the year. During the 2012-2013 campaign she guided CUW to a Northern Athletics Conference North Division crown after posting a 14-4 conference record. CUW went 19-9 overall and advanced to the NAC Championship game.
The 2008-2009 was one of the best ever for CUW as it went 23-6 under the guidance of Brunner-Jones. The Falcons defeated Wisconsin Lutheran College, 69-65, in the NAC Championship game and advanced to their second NCAA Tournament during her tenure.
Brunner-Jones' record at CUW is 203-97 including an impressive 19-9 turnaround in her second season and an unprecedented 23-4 mark with a NAC championship in 2006-07. That was followed by three more 20-plus winning seasons and three more NAC crowns.
A 1995 graduate of Mt. Horeb (Wis.) High School, she was a member of the Vikings state runner-up team and a three-time all-conference performer. Following her prep career she competed at Winona State University and was a two-year starter for the Warriors.
Brunner-Jones' previous coaching positions included three years as the women's assistant at Loras College (Iowa) and two as the head assistant at Winona State (Minn.).
Stacey is married to Matt Jones. They reside in Milwaukee, Wis., with their son Braylon.
