MEQUON, Wis.- Looking to rebound after three consecutive last minute losses that cost them a home seed for the NAC tourney, Concordia Wisconsin will have to win on the road in order to advance through Saturday's Challenge Game and the Northern Athletics Conference NCAA qualifier that begins next Wednesday.
Saturday's crossover matchup against Concordia Chicago actually will have no bearing on the seeding for next week's tournament.
CUW has already been designated the #5 seed by virtue of a 13-5 NAC North regular season record. Stacey-Brunner-Jones' team wound up tied with Lakeland for second place but the Muskies defeated the Falcons twice to win the seeding tie-breaker. The host Cougars finished third in the NAC South, but were only 7-10 in conference play.
The teams have already met twice this season with the Falcons coming out on top by scores of 77-58 at home on December 19th, and 72-42 in the consolation game at the CIT on January 28th.
Game time for step one in the Falcon turnaround is set for 2:00pm Saturday on the Concordia Chicago campus.
