NCAA Div. III Men's Indoor Rankings

MEQUON, Wis. - In a final attempt to qualify for NCAA Div. III Indoor National Championships on March 9-10 in Grinnell, Iowa, several Concordia University Wisconsin track & field athletes will be taking part in various "Last Chance" meets this weekend.

To qualify for indoor nationals, male athletes must rank 13th or higher in their respective events, while female athletes must rank 15th or higher.

Seniors Alex Pawlak (Colgate, Wis.) and Justin Rogers (Milwaukee, Wis.) will be traveling to Naperville, Ill. on Friday, where they'll compete in the NCC Last Chance Qualifier on the campus of North Central College. The meet begins at 4 p.m. on North Central's Al B. Carius Track.

Pawlak currently ranks 15th nationally in the 60m Hurdles with a time of 8.33 seconds, and has the best chance of any Falcon to make the trip to nationals.

Rogers, who led the Falcons to a first place finish at the NAC Indoor Championships last weekend, is ranked 25th nationally in the 60m Dash with a time of 6.95 seconds, as well as being ranked 40th in the Triple Jump at 45' 7".

Other highly-ranked Falcons include senior Vincent Greefkes (Jackson, Wis.), who ranks 42nd in the 60m Hurdles with a time of 8.45 seconds, and freshman Ryan Gardner (Winneconne, Wis.), who is currently sitting at 39th nationally in the Long Jump at 22' 6.5". Neither Greefkes nor Gardner will be competing this weekend.

Three CUW pole vaulters will also be competing this weekend, as freshmen Colin Moon (Embarrass, Wis.) and Tim Grimm (Leonidas, Mich.), along with Farrah Brown from the women's team, will travel to Carthage College on Friday. The meet will strictly serve as extra competition for the trio of vaulters.
