Men's Tennis blanked by Colby in non-conference action

HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Concordia University Wisconsin Men's Tennis team was blanked by Colby College, 9-0, on Tuesday afternoon. The match was the second of five for CUW on its spring trip in South Carolina.

Colby (7-2) was dominant, winning in straight sets in all six singles matches. Senior Skip Turner (Eau Claire, Wis.) provided the biggest hurdle in singles play, as he fought to a tiebreaker in the opening set of his No. 2 singles match.

Doubles play was all Colby with the closest of the three matches being 8-3 (No. 3 doubles).

The Falcons (1-8) will return to the courts tomorrow when they take on Hartwick College in a match scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. CST.
