Men's Tennis hosts dual matches on Saturday against Aurora, Rockford
MEQUON, Wis. – Concordia University Wisconsin begins a stretch of three-consecutive Northern Athletics Conference home men's tennis matches on Saturday. The Falcons host Rockford College at 11 a.m. before playing Aurora University at 3:30 p.m. Both matches will be played at Sports Core Health & Racquet Club in Kohler, Wis.
CUW (3-8, 0-0 NAC) will begin its quest for its sixth NAC title in the last seven years and third consecutive. During the program's history they have won at least a share of a regular season conference title in 13-of-14 seasons. Head coach Tom Weber has guided the Falcons to a 72-5 all-time record against conference opponents.
Junior Russell Johnson (Monticello, Minn.) leads the team with seven singles victories, while the doubles team of senior Taylor Shaffer (Stoughton, Wis.) and junior Skip Turner (Eau Claire, Wis.) have won six matches together.
Aurora University (1-6, 0-0 NAC) has lost two straight and is led by Brian Koski and Conner Propp who each have two singles wins.
Rockford College (0-0, 0-0 NAC) will be playing in its first match of the season. Rollo Luck has the team's lone singles victory from the Edgewood College Invitational on Oct. 7.
