Men’s Lacrosse set to play Dallas, Southwestern this week
MEQUON, Wis. -
Following its first win of the season Concordia University
Wisconsin's men's lacrosse team got on a bus and made the nearly 18
hour bus ride south to the state of Texas for a pair of
non-conference games. The Falcons will play Southwestern University
at 7 p.m. on Monday and the University of Dallas on Tuesday at 3
p.m.

provided for Monday's contest.
CUW snapped a three-game
skid on Friday when it defeated Hanover College, 15-4, during the
Midwest Lacrosse Conference opener for the Flacons. Sophomore Danny
Dahms (Alberta, Calgary) led the team with four goals, while
sophomore Sam Wladyka (Winnipeg, Manitoba) led all players with
three assists.
The Falcons tallied eight first
half goals and set a single game program record with 48 ground
balls. The 15 goals were the second most scored in a home game.
SU (0-6) has not found the win
column yet this season, dropping each game by an average of nine
goals per defeat. The Pirates have also been outshot 238-117
overall and 143-70 in shots on goal.
Jamie Long and Tyler Downing lead
SU with 12 and 10 goals, respectively, while Long leads the team in
assists (7) and points (19). Chris O'Quain has played the majority
of time between the pipes and has saved 32 shot attempts.
UD (1-4) dropped its last two
games and is 1-3 when playing at home this season. The Crusaders
have been outscored by 10 goals per game this season and have been
outshot 136-73 on goal. However, UD has won more faceoffs than its
opponents have.
Frank Sporleder leads the
Crusaders in points (12) and goals (11), while Stephen Joseph has
recorded three assists. Blaise DuFrain has stopped 52 shots on goal
between the pipes.
