CUW began its season on Feb. 25 with a hard-fought 17-5 defeat at Ohio Wesleyan University. The Falcons received an impressive performance from sophomore goalkeeper Zack Davis (La Porte, Ind.) who stopped 14 shot attempts. In addition, freshman Derek Brueske (Hopkins, Minn.) scored a pair of goals to lead the Falcons.

Saturday's game will be the earliest home opener for CUW. Last season its first-ever game played at home was on April 2 against Trine University, a 9-4 victory.

WU opened the 2012 campaign with a 9-8 victory at home over Sewanee: The University of the South last Saturday. The Tigers were led by Jim Ferris, Andrew Morrison and Alex Previte who each scored a pair of goals.

WU has had a lot of recent success, advancing to the NCAA Tournament the last two seasons and earning a North Coast Athletic Conference title a year ago. The Tigers return nine seniors, including All-NCAC performers Alex Previte and Michael Cocking.
