Men’s Hockey hits the road to face 9th-ranked Adrian
MEQUON, Wis. - With only four games remaining, the Concordia University Wisconsin men's hockey team will make its final road trip of the regular season this weekend, when they'll travel to Adrian, Mich. for a two-game weekend series against 9th-ranked Adrian College.
With six points in conference play, CUW (2-16-3, 2-12-2 MCHA) is currently in a two-way tie with Lake Forest College for the third and final playoff spot in the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association's Southern Division.
Both the Falcons and Foresters have tough four-game stretches to end the regular season, so one win might be all it takes for either team to punch their ticket to the MCHA playoffs.
Concordia is coming off a pair of losses against Milwaukee School of Engineering last weekend, falling 5-1 on Friday before losing 7-4 on Saturday.
Four different Falcons had a goal and an assist between the two games against MSOE, including sophomore Russell Johnson (Monticello, Minn.), who scored his team-leading 13th goal of the year.
Adrian (15-5-1, 13-2-1 MCHA) is the conference's top team with 27 points, and swept a two-game series against Lake Forest last weekend.
The Bulldogs are led by junior forward Zach Graham, who has scored 12 goals to go with 23 assists.
