MEQUON, Wis. - Concordia University Wisconsin's GRAND OPENING celebration of the new hockey facility next to the Ozaukee Ice Center in Cedarburg, Wis., is set for tonight, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The CUW's men's hockey team will host Gustavus Adolphus College at 8 p.m.

The celebration will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, free open skate, facility tours, plus exhibitions featuring Wisconsin figure skating club members and National Ice Dance competitors Christian Erwin and Kenzie Reid of Brookfield. National freestyle competitor Samantha Puhl of Mequon will also skate.

Between periods of the CUW versus GAC matchup, CUW hockey will sponsor SCORE A GOAL and CHUCK A PUCK competitions for special commemorative prizes.

The new facility, with current seating for 1000 spectators (maximum capacity of 1,500 with standing room only), includes locker rooms for the men's and women's team, coach's offices, athletic training room, laundry room, and storage area for both programs. The Falcons shared locker rooms with local high school programs in the past.
