Rabas tied for 19th, Men's Golf completes round one at WLC Invitational

HARTFORD, Wis. – Evan Rabas led Concordia University Wisconsin on Sunday with a 4-over-par 76 at the par 72, 7,048 yard Washington Country Golf Course. The Falcons sit in a tie for 11th place after round one of the Wisconsin Lutheran College Invitational.

CUW shot a 34-over-par 322 total after 18 holes of play.

Edgewood College leads the tournament with 1-under-par 287 total, while Michael Mathwick (Edgewood College) fired a 3-under-par 69 to lead all individuals. Brad Hyland (Carthage College) carded a 1-under-par 71 and two players shot even par.

Rabas (freshman, Sherwood, Wis.) was the only player to shoot under 80 for the Falcons. Sophomore Bill Jones (New Holstein, Wis.) recorded an 81 and is in a tie for 54th, while junior Chris Payne (Waukesha, Wis.) shot 82 to tie for 59th. Sophomore Mike Loftus (Germantown, Wis.) and freshman Oliver Sadiq (Elkhart Lake, Wis.) each finished with an 83 and are in a tie for 65th.

CUW completes the two-day event on Monday.
