Men's Golf first round at Culver's Edgewood College Fall Classic suspended

JANESVILLE, Wis. – Just over half the field at the Culver's Edgewood College Fall Classic completed the first round before inclement weather halted play at the par-71 Glen Erin Golf Course. The first round will be resumed at 8 a.m. on Saturday, while the second round start approximately at 10 a.m.

The tournament is the first of the 2013-14 season for CUW's Men's Golf team. 

Sophomore Bill Jones (New Holstein, Wis.) and freshman Oliver Sadiq (Elkhart Lake, Wis.) paced the Falcons with a 10-over-par 81, which is good for a 24th place tie. CUW did get all five of its golfers into the clubhouse before the weather came and recorded a team score of 328.

Ryan Heide of St. Olaf College leads the tournament with a 1-under-par 70, while Scott Loftus shot an even-par 71 at the 6,849 yard course. St. Olaf College leads the field with a 304 and MSOE sits in second with a 308.

Complete results of the opening round and the final round will be released when they become available.
