Pass defense ranked first in national rankings
MEQUON, Wis.
- The CUW football team (4-6, 4-3 Northern
Athletics Conference) was led by its defense, specifically its pass
defense, throughout the season. The Falcons finished the year as
the top-ranked pass defense in the nation, allowing just 122.6
yards per game. On three occasions this season CUW held its
opponent to under 78 yards passing.
CUW"s defense also finished 32nd in total defense and
25th in pass efficiency defense. The Falcons also ranked 69th in
tackles for loss, 85th in sacks allowed and 98th in kickoff
returns.
