Falcon ’N Focus: Walker leads CUW Defense

MEQUON, Wis. - The Concordia University Wisconsin football team is days away from their final game of the season, when they take on Lakeland College this Saturday on CUW's Senior Day.

Led by fourth-year defensive coordinator Adam Walker, the Falcon defense has posted strong numbers throughout the 2011 campaign.

CUW currently ranks 4th nationally in pass defense, and 37th nationally in total defense; leading the Northern Athletics Conference in both categories.

On average, the Falcons have allowed only 290 yards of total offense per game; while keeping opposing offenses to approximately 123 yards through the air.

This Saturday could prove to be a defensive battle, as Lakeland tops the NAC in rushing defense and scoring defense.

The annual "Cheese Bowl" is scheduled for this Saturday at Century Field, starting at 12 p.m.
