15th Annual Football Golf Outing a Success
WEST BEND, Wis.
- Since the mid-1990s the Concordia
University Wisconsin football team has hosted a golf outing every
summer in order to raise funds for its program. The 24-team
scramble was held last Friday at West Bend Lakes Golf Course.
"The support the CUW
football program receives every year is amazing," said head coach
Greg Etter. "The golf outing is a great opportunity to get together
and share a few laughs with all those associated with our team. As
a program we can't say thanks enough to those who donate their time
and money each year for the betterment of our Falcon
student-athletes."
Funds raised through the golf
outing will be used to supplement the football budget for equipment
and travel. In addition to golf, supporters participated in
auctions and raffles which included various donations from
community supporters.
The foursome of Bill Driscoll,
Bill Chesak, Matt Clinton, and Todd White were the overall and
Masters Division Champions with a 12-under score of 60. The
foursome of Jeff Walker, Steven Schauer, Paul Clemens, and John
Schroeckenthaler won the PGA Division, while the foursome of Scott
Froemming, Tim Froemming, Tom Voell, and Jim Giunta won the Amateur
Division.
