Football Proud To Announce Military Veterans Day
MEQUON, Wis.
- The Concordia University Wisconsin football program is
proud to announce a dedication ceremony to honor all military
veterans, and their family and friends, prior to its season opener
on Sept. 3.
"The football program is honored
to host our military veterans, family, and friends, with a pre-game
party and ceremony. We are privileged to give them the recognition
they deserve," said head coach Greg Etter. "Our veterans have put
their lives on the line fighting for our country, so that we can
enjoy the freedom we have."
All military veterans are invited
to attend a commemorative ceremony to honor their service for
defending our country. The event will begin at 10:30 a.m. with a
pre-game tailgate party, including refreshments and food. In
addition, admission is free for all veterans, provided by the
football program.
The Falcons host Augsburg College
at 1 p.m. at Century Stadium.
Those interested in attending
should contact defensive line coach Keith Collins, who is also the
post commander of the Peter Wollner Post No. 288 of the American
Legion. Collins can be reached at (262) 334-1555 or at (262)
