Saturday's conference clash will mark the third annual Lutheran Bowl between the two Lutheran-affiliated institutions, with the winner bringing home the Luther Cup, a traveling trophy that will remain in the possession of the winning team until the following year's Lutheran Bowl.
Wisconsin Lutheran has the NAC's top rushing defense (82 yards per game), pass efficiency defense (81.80), total defense (231.57 ypg), kickoff return team (22.38 yards per return),turnover margin (+14) and quarterback sack defense (22).
Running back Carlton Austin has rushed for a team-high 313 yards on 83 carries to top the Falcons ground game. Quarterback Patrick Czerwiek has taken the majority of CUW's snaps under center, tossing the team's only two TDs through the air. Leon Davis has hauled in team highs of 19 receptions for 239 yards for Concordia Wisconsin's wide receiving corps. Andrew Hobus tops the Falcons defense, which leads the NAC in tackles for loss, with 39 tackles.
Wisconsin Lutheran out-gained the Falcons 262-75 in total offense, but committed five turnovers en route to falling to the Falcons 13-0.
