The Falcons are coming off a disappointing loss to the Cougars of Concordia Chicago and look to bounce back against the Muskies of Lakeland College who are 4-1 in the league, are 4-4 overall- just like the Falcons.
In last year's one-sided defeat, the CUW offense was held to a meager 121 yards on 71 plays.
Meanwhile the Muskies offense had 60 plays for 369 yards despite turning over the ball 4 times. The Muskies come in averaging an impressive 325.2 yards per game and 25.6 points per game- but their suspect defense also allows 318.9 yards per game and 24.5 points per game.
What to watch for:
Look for the Muskies to take to the air with QB Jake Dworak who has passed for 19 touchdowns and has a pass efficiency rating of 132.92. The Muskies will mix in the run just to keep the Falcons defense honest but will rely heavily on their passing game. The Muskies like to put pressure on opposing offenses with exotic blitzes. Look for the Falcons to establish the run behind their dynamic duo of backs and mix in the pass to keep the Muskie defense honest. If the Falcons want to keep their Championship hopes alive the offense will have to play better and eliminate turnovers.
The Falcons offensive line will have to do a better job at blitz pickup than last year.
My prediction the Falcons win 28-21
