2011 Season (Freshman, Marian University): Was a member of the Marian University Sabres baseball team.
High School (Cedarburg High School): Earned varsity letters in both baseball and swimming... Received all-conference and all-state honors for swimming... As a pitcher for Cedarburg he recorded a 4.20 ERA.
Personal: Son of Scott and Lynn Winter... Has two younger brothers, Kevin and John... Michael also competes on the CUW men's club volleyball team.
