MEQUON, Wis. – Concordia University Wisconsin Acrobatics & Tumbling head coach Cristina Ribble is working the recruiting trail hard during her first the month-and-a-half since she was hired. On Wednesday, the program received its first commitment from Amanda Zitzer for the 2014-15 season.
"I believe Amanda will bring a lot to table for our inaugural team," Ribble said. "Amanda is an all-around talented athlete and will be a strong leader for our program. I know we are going to build a strong team here at CUW and Amanda is a perfect fit."
Zitzer, a native of Sheboygan, Wis., was a talented competitive cheerleader for three years during her prep career at Sheboygan South High School. She was also recognized as a SSHS Scholar Student-Athlete and competed on the cross country and track & field teams.
Zitzer was also a member of the Heat Athletics All-Star Cheerleading and Tumbling organization in Sussex, Wis. Currently, she is a junior at CUW working on her Bachelor's Degree in athletic training.
"I was excited to be contacted by Coach Ribble about the A&T program here at CUW," Zitzer said. "I am proud to be a part of the inaugural team and hope to compete against the best."
