Student-Athletes of the Week
April 15, 2014
Male: Andrew Heideman (Bakersfield, Calif.) threw a complete-game four-hitter in a 5-1 win over MSOE. He struck out a career-high eight batters in the win and added five punchouts in two innings against North Park earlier in the week. Heideman was named the NACC Pitcher of the Week for his efforts.
Female: Hayley Peppers (Franktown, Colo.) led the Falcons to a pair of victories this past week. The junior scored three goals and assisted on a pair of markers in a 16-3 victory over Aurora. During the win, Peppers picked up a program-record 16 ground balls to go along with a career-high eight draw controls and three caused turnovers. She closed the week with three assists, three ground balls and six draw controls in an 18-7 win over Illinois Institute of Technology.

Male: Derek Brueske (Hopkins, Minn.) scored six points in each of the Falcons wins last week. The junior had three goals and three assists in a win over Beloit College, which helped CUW tie a program record for the longest winning streak. He then added two goals and four assists in a win over Mount St. Joseph, which helped the Falcons set a new program-long winning streak.
Female: Samantha Reiter (Stillwater, Minn.) became the first player in Falcons history to pass the 100-goal plateau with 11 goals in three games last week. She had six goals in the final game of the week against Otterbein and had three in a win over Robert Morris. Reiter finished the week with four assists as well.

Male: Danny Dahms (Calgary, Alberta) won MLC Offensive Player of the Week honors after leading the Falcons to a trio of wins. The midfielder had 13 goals, five assists, three ground balls and two caused turnovers. He had a hat trick, an assist and a caused turnover during a dominating 15-7 victory over Olivet College.
Female: Melissa Perkins (Park Forest, Ill.) threw two complete game shutouts for the Falcons. Perkins shut SUNY Potsdam out in a game in Florida and then threw seven scoreless against MSOE for a NACC victory. She added a win over Alverno, finishing the week with three victories.

Male: Sean Ambrocio (San Antonio, Texas) of the Wrestling team finished eighth in the 125 pound bracket of the NCAA Division III Championships. The junior earned All-American status with his finish and was also named an NWCA Scholar All-American. He posted a 2-3 record at the championships.
Female: Hannah Redden (Libertyville, Ill.) of the Women's Lacrosse team recorded a career-best seven points, scoring four times and adding three assists in a 22-5 win over Benedictine. The game marked the first of the season for CUW and the 22 goals was a program record.

Male: Emmet O'Malley (Elk Grove Village, Ill.) made a career-best 15 saves in the Men's Lacrosse contest against Albion last weekend. The junior also recorded five ground balls, tied for the team lead in the game.
Female: Junior Andrea Kassees (Waukesha, Wis.) of the Women's Track & Field team recorded a PR in the weight throw. She was one of four Falcons to compete at the Carthage Final Qualifier meet, where she had a throw of 13.73 meters, nearly .3 meters better than her previous best, which came earlier this season.

Male: Martin Hinze (Bourbonnais, Ill.) won two events and added a second-place finish at the NACC Indoor Championships. He was named the Track Athlete of the Meet for his efforts. He ran a PR of 15:28.9 in winning the 5,000-meter run, added a win in the 3,000-meter run and was just edged out in the mile, finishing in second place.
Female: Mariah Giesseman (Sturgeon Bay, Wis.) had a monster Sunday at the Finlandia Dome Tournament for the Falcons. She went 4-for-4 with two home runs and six RBIs in a win over Mount Mary. The senior added a sole home run in a 5-4 win over Carroll, finishing the day with three home runs and seven RBIs.

Male: Garrett Wenzelburger (Hartland, Wis.) scored 24 points in each of the Falcons final two games of the 2013-14 season. The 24 points mark a career-high for Wenzelburger, who also had eight rebounds in each game.
Female: Madelyn Landgraf (Elkhart Lake, Wis.) scored a career-best 21 points in the Falcons NACC Quarterfinal win over Aurora. The sophomore guard drained a career-high five three points in helping lead CUW to the semifinal round.

Male: Sean Ambrocio (San Antonio, Texas) was named the Northern Wrestling Association Outstanding Wrestler at the conference meet Saturday. He won the 125-pound weight bracket, which included a win by fall in just eight seconds. he also posted a technical fall win and has won the 125-pound league title three years in a row.
Female: Bridget Slater (Roseau, Minn.) made a combined 43 saves over two Falcon wins over Marian last weekend. The starts were just the second and third of her career as she picked up her first two career victories. In Saturdya's game she recorded a career-high 25 saves and allowed just two goals in each contest.

Male: Mark Scholz (Greenfield, Wis.) averaged 16.5 points per game over a pair of wins for the Men's Basketball team last week. The junior scored a career-high 17 points in a 75-74 win over Edgewood College and followed that with a 16-point game against Dominican University. He made 11-of-13 shots from the floor over the two games.
Female: Sophomore Megan Coenen (Green Bay, Wis.) scored in double figures in each of the Falcons three wins last week. Her best game came at the end of the week where she posted a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds in a 90-52 win over Dominican. She also had 18 points in a 25-point win over Aurora.

Male: Andrew Faber (Germantown, Wis.) recorded two PRs at the Tadd Metzger Invitational last weekend for the Falcons. Faber finished third in the weight throw with a PR toss of 15.53 meters. He then launched a throw of 13.61 meters in the shot put, good for another personal-best effort. His finishes helped the Falcons take fifth at the event.
Female: Senior Jessica Hennig (Springfield, Ill.) helped lead the Falcons at their meet hosted by Carthage College last weekend. Hennig ran to a sixth-place finish in the 600-meter run with a PR time of 1:45.52. She then helped her 4X400-meter win their heat by running the opening leg.

Male: Garrett Wenzelburger (Hartland, Wis.) scored a career-high 21 points in a Falcons CIT win over Concordia Chicago. The junior also pulled down seven rebounds in that win. Earlier in the week he scored 12 points and recorded a career-best eight rebounds against Wisconsin Lutheran . Wenzelburger added a 10-point performance in the CIT Championship game against Concordia Nebraska and was named to the All-Tournament Team for his efforts.
Female: Madelyn Landgraf (Elkhart Lake, Wis.) posted back-to-back double-digit scoring games in the CIT Tournaments. She has now scored 10 or more points in six of the team's past seven games. The sophomore had 13 in a win over Concordia Chicago and added 12 points, including 3-of-4 shooting from 3-point range in the Falcons game against Concordia Nebraska.

Male: Martin Hinze (Bourbonnais, Ill.) won the mile run at the Private College Invitational on Saturday. Hinze ran a personal-best 4:24.7, narrowly edging the runner-up finisher from Concordia University Chicago. His 10 points earned in that event helped the Falcons place fourth as a team.
Female: Katie Luethe (Oshkosh, Wis.) averaged 18 points per game as the Falcons ran their record to 14-1 with a pair of NACC wins. The senior forward scored 17 points, grabbed eight rebounds and dished out four assists in a win over Rockford, while adding a 19-point, six-rebound performance against Dominican.

Male: Domingo Torrenueva (Oshawa, Ontario) continued his strong play as goalie of the Men's Hockey team. He won all three starts last week, improving his record to 6-0-0 in games which he has started this season. Torrenueva made 100 saves over the three games, including a career-high 43 against Lake Forest. He also posted a .935 save percentage and is a big reason for the team's current six-game winning streak.
Female: Anna Butler (Kewaskum, Wis.) played a key role in the Falcons win over Benedictine Saturday. She scored 12 points, pulled down nine rebounds, dished out three assists and added three steals in a 65-54 win. Butler also scored six points against Concordia Chicago, playing limited action after the Falcons built a big lead early.

Male: Keith Kahlfeldt (New Berlin, Wis.) averaged 26.5 points per game in leading the Men's Basketball team to a pair of wins last week. The sophomore scored 29, while connecting on 6-of-8 shots from 3-point range in a non-conference win over Finlandia University and followed that with a 24-point, three-rebound, three-steal performance in a NACC win over Rockford University.
Female: Emily Heckendorf (Merrill, Wis.) set a CUW program record with four points in one period in Saturday's contest against Saint Benedict. The junior scored two points and added two assists in the third period, nearly helping CUW erase a three-goal deficit. Both of her goals were scored on the power play. She also played a key defensive role in a 3-1 win over the Blazers Friday night.

Male: Eric Kittel (Brillion, Wis.) scored a career high 20 points, which include a game-winning half court shot to lead CUW past Millikin, 84-81 on Saturday. The freshman guard drained six shots from 3-point range and recorded five steals in the non-conference victory.
Female: Katie Luethe (Oshkosh, Wis.) tallied a game best 18 points in a 73-51 NACC win over Lakeland College. The senior was a perfect 6-of-6 from the free throw line and grabbed seven rebounds, while adding three assists in helping CUW to an 8-0 start to the 2013-14 season.

Male: Devin Stuermer (Milwaukee, Wis.) scored six points in two wins over Finlandia University last week. He set a program record with five points (one goal, four assists) in an 8-2 win Saturday before scoring the game-winner in a Sunday win. He has helped lead the team to a 5-4-3 record to start the season.
Female: Camille Parsons (Urbana, Ill.) tied a career high with 19 points in a convincing win over Benedictine. She also helped lead the Falcons to a win over Edgewood as CUW is off to a 7-0 start this season. Parsons made a career best four 3-pointers in the win over Benedictine and added seven assists.

Male: Keith Kahlfeldt (New Berlin, Wis.) scored a career-high 33 points in the Falcons game against Aurora University last Saturday. He shot 80 percent (16-for-20) from the floor and scored his 33 points despite attempting a free throw in the contest. He also had eight rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks.
Female: Anna Butler (Kewaskum, Wis.) pulled down a career-best 12 rebounds in a 67-63 comeback win over UW-La Crosse Tuesday. She also helped lead CUW to a 58-55 by scoring 10 points and adding seven rebounds. The senior guard has played a big role in heldping CUW to a 5-0 start this season.

Male: Garrett Wenzelburger (Hartland, Wis.) had nine catches for 184 yards and a touchdown in the Falcons NCAA Division III Playoff game against UW-Platteville. Wenzelburger was also named to the First Team All-NACC following the season.
Female: Veronika Metanova (Palatine, Ill.) scored two goals and added an assist in the Falcons 5-2 win over Marian University Thursday. The three points and two goals were a career high as CUW improved its overall record to 4-3-0.

Male: Austin Damaschke (Bristol, Wis.) threw for 231 yards and three touchdowns, while adding 95 rushing yards and a score to lead the Falcons Football team past Wisconsin Lutheran College, 58-31. The win gave CUW the outright NACC title and a second straight Luther Cup. Damaschke and the Falcons are set to face UW-Platteville in the opening round of the NCAA Championships this Saturday.
Female: Katie Luethe (Oshkosh, Wis.) scored 19 points and added seven rebounds in leading the Women's Basketball team to a season-opening 77-65 win over Augustana College. She was 2-for-4 from three-point range and a perfect 3-for-3 from the free throw line in the win. Luethe added two steals for the 1-0 Falcons.

Male: LaCurt Evans (Bloomingdale, Ill.) ran for a career-high 146 yards in the Falcons 49-41 win over Aurora University. He scored three touchdowns, including a scoring for a career-best 50 yards out in helping lead CUW to a share of the NACC title. The Falcons also clinched a spot in the NCAA Division III Tournament thanks to Evans performance.
Female: Jennifer DeGeorge (Waukesha, Wis.) made 62 saves over two games against Augsburg College last weekend. DeGeorge stopped 32 shots in a 3-1 win over the Auggies, while adding 30 saves in a 2-0 setback. She posted a .954 save percentage over the two games.

Male: Gavin Winston (Park Forest, Ill.) scored three points in Men's Soccer two games over the past week. Winston scored two goals, including the game-winner in a 3-2 win over MSOE in the NACC Tournament First Round. He added an assist in a 1-0 win over Edgewood College in the regular season finale.
Female: Brandi Muller (Anchorage, Alaska) had four points over two games, helping lead the Women's Hockey team to a 2-0-0 start. Muller had both goals in a 2-1 win Saturday, while adding a goal and an assist in the season-opening 8-1 victory.

Male: Austin Damaschke (Bristol, Wis.) set two program game records in the Football team's 45-28 Cheese Bowl victory over Lakeland. He passed for 425 yards and had 536 total yards, to go along with a career-high 111 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns. He was also named NACC Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week and to D3Football.com's Team of the Week.
Female: Carley Valentine (De Pere, Wis.) recorded her fourth career triple-double (11 kills, 26 assists, 10 digs) in Volleyball's Senior Day home match against Aurora. She has posted four kills, 30 assists, 15 digs and eight total blocks in a road victory at Marian during the week.

Male: Taylor Witty (Milwaukee, Wis.) recorded nine tackles in the Falcons win over Concordia University Chicago. He made players all over the backfield, recording two sacks and finishing with 2.5 tackles for a loss. He was also named the NACC Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week for his efforts.
Female: Carley Pfannerstill (Grafton, Wis.) scored two goals, including the game-winner in the Falcons 4-0 win over MSOE last Saturday. The win moved CUW to third place in the conference standings. She now leads the team with 13 goals.

Male: Andrew Gatz (Adell, Wis.) rushed for a career-high 169 yards in leading the Falcons past Maranatha Baptist Bible College last Saturday. His 20 carries also were a career-best, while he scored his first career touchdown in the convincing victory.
Female: Britta Duchow (Potter, Wis.) recorded nine blocks in the Falcons 3-1 win over Wisconsin Lutheran College. Duchow also tallied seven kills in each of the team's matches over the past week, as CUW also faced off against Dominican. Here week totals included 14 kills and 11 blocks.

Male: Luke Scheuerlein (Thiensville, Wis.) earned NACC Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week honors for his play in a 28-27 win over Benedictine University Saturday. The sophomore linebacker tied for a team-best 10 tackles and sealed the victory with an interception late in the fourth quarter.
Female: Nina Puch
(Des Plaines, Ill.) was named the NACC Player of the Year after
earning medalist honors at the conference championships, which were
held Saturday-Monday. Puch was the sixth straight Falcon to earn
Player of the Year honors after firing a 205 over 45 holes. In
addition to her individual win, CUW also claimed the team title for
the second straight season, earning the league's bid to the NCAA
Championships in May.

Male: Gavin Winston (Park Forest, Ill.) scored his first three collegiate goals in recording a hat trick versus Lakeland College. Winston helped lead the Falcons to their first NACC win of the season, 4-0 over the Muskies.
Female: Hannah Griffiths was named the NACC Student-Athlete of the Week after helping lead CUW to at the NACC-IIAC Challenge Series. She posted two double-doubles, and finished with double-digit digs in all four matches. Her top match was a 21-kill, 10-dig performance in a five-set win over Buena Vista.

Male: Garrett Wenzelburger (Hartland, Wis.) hauled in a career-best 13 passes for a career-high 196 yards in the Falcons game against Trine. He scored three times, which tied a career-best for a single game, while also tying a career mark with a 37-yard reception. He averaged 15.1 yards per receptions.
Female: Anna Hirssig (Rochester, Minn.) recorded her first career hat trick in the Falcons 3-0 win over Dominican University. Hirssig scored off a penalty kick and added two headers as she accounted for all the offense in the conference-opening win.

Nina Puch (Des Plaines, Ill.)
carded a 76 to earn meet medalist honors at the Benedictine
Invitational. The sophomore won the event for the second year in a
row, winning this year's title by one stroke. She recorded a 38 on
each nine and currently leads the NACC in scoring average.

Emily Ciesielczyk (Waukesha, Wis.)
recorded five points in the Falcons 4-3 win over Lake Forest
College on Saturday, September 7th. The sophomore forward tallied
the game-winning goal with 8:40 to play in the game, scoring just
13 seconds after Lake Forest tied the match. She also had the first
goal of the match and added an assist in the Falcons first win of

Hannah Griffiths (Antigo, Wis.) was
named MVP of the Concordia Invitational Tournament after helping
lead the Falcons to a tournament championship. Griffiths recorded
double-digit kills in both matches, beginning with 11 versus
Concordia University Ann Arbor. She followed that with a
double-double, tallying 10 kills and adding 11 digs in a 3-0 win
over Concordia University Chicago.

Nina Puch (Des Plaines, Ill.)
finished tied for 62nd at the NCAA Division III Women's Golf
Championships. The freshman had her best round on the third day of
competition as she fired an even-par 72, which also tied for the
lowest round in the tournament. Puch was one of only two players to
record the 72, as tournament champion Laura Lindsey also carded a
72 during each of her first two rounds.

Russell Johnson (Monticello, Wis.)
went 4-0 at No. 1 singles and No. 2 doubles in leading the CUW
Men's Tennis team to a Northern Athletics Conference regular season
championship. Johnson did not lose a singles match during the NAC
regular season schedule, posting a 9-0 mark. He and the Falcons
will play in the NAC Tournament this Saturday.

Cara Landherr (Waukesha, Wis.) had
a big week at the plate in helping lead the CUW Softball team to a
6-0 record. Landherr drove in 21 runs in 22 at bats while batting
.500. The senior infielder had her best game against Alverno
College where she went 4-for-4 with three home runs and eight runs
driven in. She also had a two home run game against Rockford
College. Landherr belted five home runs during the week and
currenlty leads the NAC in home runs and RBIs.

Russell Johnson (Monticello, Wis.)
went 3-0 in both singles and doubles play as he helped lead the CUW
Men's Tennis team to three conference wins. Johnson won all of his
matches at No. 1 singles, while also winning one match each at No.
1, No. 2, and No. 3 doubles. Him and the Falcons improved to 5-0 in
the NAC in the process.

Martin Hinze (Bourbonnais, Ill.)
set a new school record in the 3,000-meter steeplechase this past
weekend at the Rex Foster Invitational. Hinze won the event Friday
in a time of 9:32.88, a time that also ranks him first in the
Northern Athletics Conference senior. The junior also ranks 20th in
the nation in the event.

Abbie Goetsch (Grayslake, Ill.) helped lead the Falcons to a 3-1 record last week as they concluded their Florida trip. Two of those three wins came against ranked opponents as CUW topped No. 16 St. Thomas University and No. 20 Carthage College, both by scores of 5-4. Against the Tommies Goetsch, a senior catcher, delivered the game-winning single in the bottom of the seventh, capping off a 3-for-3 day at the plate. She finished the four games with a .545 (6-for-11) batting average, hitting one double, one triple, and driving in three runs.

Greg Sanders (San Antonio, Texas)
became the first national champion in CUW Wrestling history as he
claimed the 149 lb. title. Sanders defeated defending 141 lb.
national champion Kodie Silvestri of Wartburg College, 6-5, in the
finals, scoring a two-point reversal late in the match to gain the
victory. For his efforts he was named the NWCA Outstanding Wrestler
of the national tournament. He finished 2012-13 with a 40-4 record.

Christopher Grenz (Centennial,
Colo.) helped lead the CUW Men's La Crosse team to a 2-0 record
last weekend. Grenz and the defense allowed just 11 goals combined
as the Falcons defeated Albion College, 10-9, on Saturday followed
by an 8-2 win over Alma College Sunday. Assigned to each opponents
top attackman, Grenz shut both players out over the weekend

Sean Ambrocio (San Antonio, Texas) won the 125-pound weight class during the NCAA Division III Midwest Wrestling Regionals in Minneapolis on Saturday. He finished the day 4-0 with a victory by fall and major decision. The exercise physiology major improved his season record to 33-5, which includes 19-consecutive wins.

Greg Sanders (San Antonio, Texas)
was named Outstanding Wrestler at the Northern Wrestling
Association Tournament. Sanders pinned both of his opponents en
route to his championship at 149 lbs., including needing just 19
seconds in the title match. The 19 seconds marked the fastest time
he has pinned an opponent in his career. Sanders has now won 26
straight matches entering this weekends NCAA Division III West

Brian Jackson (Carol Stream, Ill.) scored 10 and 18 points, respectively, as the Falcons played in the Northern Athletics Conference Tournament. He also grabbed 15 rebounds, blocked three shots, assisted on three field goals and stole two passes in both games. The Secondary Education major concluded his career with 524 points.

Chris Hughes (Dundee, Mich.) scored a pair of goals and added an assist in the Falcons series against nationally-ranked Adrian College on Friday and Saturday. He was also named Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association Freshman of the Week for his efforts.

Austin Damaschke threw for a game-high 307 yards on 20-of-37 and tossed four touchdowns as the football team fell in thrilling fashion, 47-44, in overtime to Concordia University Chicago. The sophomore gunsliger also ran for 70 yards on 17 carries (4.1 average) and touchdown.

Kyle Sytsma scored both goals in a 2-0 win over Benedictine and added his third score of the week in a 3-1 victory over Lakeland. The Falcons improved to 5-1-0 in the NAC with those wins.

Lauren Straehler scored the game-winning goal at North Central College during the Falcons, 3-2, double-overtime victory. The senior also scored a pair of goals against Rockford College and one at Lake Forest College.
2011 CUW PLAYER OF THE WEEK ARCHIVES BELOW
Alex Pawlak (Men's Track & Field)
Pawlak advanced to the NCAA Tournament in the 110- and 400-meter hurdles, where he finished 15th and 18th, respectively. The senior finished his career with five school records and three Northern Athletics Conference records.
Brian Tresedder (Men's Tennis)
Tresedder was named Northern Athletics Conference Player of the Year for the second-consecutive year. The senior No. 1 singles and doubles player helped the Falcons advance to their third NCAA Tournament appearance in four years.

Track & Field)
Pawlak won three separate medals in leading the Falcons to first place at the NAC Track & Field Championships.
Janelle Schroder (Softball)
Schroeder was 8-for-13 (.615) during the week as CUW went 4-2. She also walked twice and drove in eight runs for the Falcons who finished 19-5 in conference play.
Skip Turner (Men's Tennis)
Mariah Giesseman (Softball)
Playing at No. 2 singles against Aurora University and No. 1 against Rockford College, Turner finished the week 4-0, including two doubles wins, as the Falcons improved to 6-0 in Northern Athletics Conference action.
Gieseeman was 9-for-14 at the plate during the week as CUW went 4-0. She scored five runs and drove in six, compiling a .667 on-base percentage.
Austin Baglow Baseball
Baglow won a pair of games for the Falcons, posting a 0.59 ERA in wins over MSOE and Lakeland.
Sammi Reiter Women's Lacrosse
Reiter just keeps setting new standards. Saturday she scored a school-record seven goals in a loss to Pacific.
Danielle Burke Softball
Burke went 3-0 during the week with 19 Ks and a 0.41 ERA for CUW.
Sammi Reiter Women's Lacrosse
Reiter scored 14 goals and added an assist this past week, leading CUW to their historic first win on Sunday.
Danny Dahms Men's Lacrosse
Dahms scored four times as Concordia defeated Hanover 15-4.
Sean Ambrocio Wrestling
Freshman Ambrocio won three matches at the NCAA Division III National Championships in La Crosse on Friday, and was one win away from being crowned All-American at 125 lbs.
Kyle Burrell Men's Lacrosse
Burrell scored twice and added an assist during the Falcon's 11-6 home loss to Wittenberg.
Justin Rogers Men's Indoor Track and Field
Rogers took first in the Triple Jump, 55m Dash, and 200m Dash; along with being a part of the first place 4x400m Relay at the NAC Indoor Championships.
Alex Pawlak Men's Indoor Track and Field
Pawlak placed first in the prelims and third in the finals of the 60m Hurdles at the talent-laden Eastbay Pointer Invitational in Stevens Point over the weekend. Pawlak posted a time of 8.35 in prelims, setting a new school record.
Mitchell Schneider Men's Basketball
Hot-shooting Mitchell Schneider had games of 25 and 15 points as the Falcons preserved their one game lead in the NAC title chase.
Rebecca Gifford Womens Indoor Track and Field
Versatile Gifford took third place in the shot put. She also finished third in the triple jump and earned a fifth place finish in the 55m hurdles at the UW-Parkside Invitational.
Brian Jackson Men's Basketball
Brian averaged 15 points and six rebounds per game in the three CUW contests this past week. He hit the winning 3-pointer with two seconds left to beat Concordia Chicago on Friday night.
Sean Ambrocio Wrestling
Ambrocio won all three of his bouts in a triple dual Saturday, accumulating 36 points, while giving up just eight. Ambrocio’s technical fall victory came by a score of 17-1 and his major decision win was 14-4.
Luke Doedens Men's Basketball
Luke hit eight of 11 shots including five of seven from beyond the arc against MSOE. He added 5 rebounds, 5 steals, and 3 assists in the battle of league leaders.
Greg Sanders Wrestling
Greg (24-2) was voted "Outstanding Wrestler of the Meet" as he took first place at 141 in a exceptionally strong weight class at the Elmhurst Invitational.
Brittany Zietlow Women's Basketball
"Z" scored a career-high 18 points, while adding 4 rebounds, 3 assists, a steal and a blocked shot to lead CUW to a win over Dominican.
Erik Condia Men's Basketball
Erik hit 4 of 6 shots, grabbed 9 rebounds, and added a pair of blocked shots as CUW defeated UW- Oshkosh 76-72 to improve to 8-3.
Jesse Huggins Wrestling
Freshman Jesse Huggins went 3-0 at the Florida Gulf Coast Duals to improve his record to 14-4 on the season.
Mitchell Schneider Men's Basketball
Mitchell Schneider became the 13th player in Concordia University Wisconsin men's basketball history to surpass the 1,000 point mark for his career. Schneider reached the total nine games into his senior season.
Marcus Lubner Wrestling
Wrestling at 131, Lubner took second place at the 13 team MSOE Invitational over the weekend.
Tiffany Hendrickson Women's Basketball
Hendrickson averaged 13.0 points and hit all 4 of her long range attempts as the Falcons split a pair of thrillers, losing to UW-River Falls by 1 before defeating NAC rival Edgewood.
Luke Doedens Men's Basketball
Doedens averaged 18.3 points per game while shooting 63% from the floor as the Falcons opened their season with three games against WIAC schools on the road; going 2-1.
Greg Sanders Wrestling
Wrestling at 141, freshman Greg Sanders finished with a 3-0 record against top-notch competition at the Falcon's season-opening triple dual.
Josh Lehr Men's Hockey
Lehr, CUW's freshman goalie, made an amazing 57 saves as the Falcons tied Lawrence 2-2 in league hockey action to earn their first points of the season.

Russ DeLap's racers won both the men's and women's NAC Championships with an amazing display of team depth.
Brittany Deinlein Volleyball
Deinlein led CUW with 28 kills and 26 digs as the Falcons defeated Concordia-Chicago and Aurora in conference play.
Zach Lemler Men's Soccer
Lemler scored both goals as the Falcons overcame a stiff challenge from WLC to record a 2-0 win and stay undefeated in the NAC.
Joseph Paul Football
Paul broke into Concordia's Top 10 All Time single game rushing yardage list with a 225 yard performance on just 17 carries in a 59-7 win over Maranatha.
Austin Damaschke Football
In his first career start, Damaschke completed 16 of 24 passes for 228 yards and scrambled for 47 more as the Falcons (1-0 in the NAC) defeated Rockford 46-14.
Kyle Sytsma Men's Soccer
Sytsma scored both goals in a 2-1 win non-conference over North Central (6-2-0) on Saturday. The junior midfielder also had two assists against Rockford earlier in the week.

A returning first team all conference performer, Lauren scored three goals against CU-Chicago in a 5-0 win on Saturday and assisted on two others. She leads the Falcons with 7 goals and 2 assists to date.
Muriel McIntyre Women's Golf
Three-time Player of the Year, Muriel fired a season's best 79 as the Falcons defeated Lakeland in a NAC dual.
Meagan Harrington Women's Tennis
Harrington was 2-0 in singles play at #1 and also 2-0 in doubles action as the Falcons defeated CU-Chicago and Dominican in NAC-opening play
