MEQUON, Wis. – Concordia University Wisconsin recognized five athletic programs and seven individuals for their achievements on the playing field over the past year in the Albrecht Student Union with a formal Dinner of Champions event, which was highlighted by guest speaker Camille Parsons.

The event, hosted by President Rev. Dr. Patrick T. Ferry and his wife Dr. Tammy Ferry, gave Falcon student-athletes and teams a night to reflect on their hard work, dedication and commitment to being the best in their respective sport.

It was a special night as former Concordia Wisconsin graduate and Women’s Basketball player, Camille Parsons, who talked about not only being a champion within the sport you play, but also in your future career and life.

Parson’s message gave student-athletes the opportunity to reflect on the accomplishments they made this season, but also to make sure they continue putting the hard work and dedication towards their future endeavors. Parsons left the attendees by challenging them to be the best in everything they do and with that, they will be a champion with all that they do.

Along with Director of Athletics Dr. Rob Barnhill and President Ferry, the overwhelming theme of the evening was to ‘savor the moment of being a champion’. While winning conference titles appear easy at times, winning more than one is never a given.

Recognized at the event were Women’s Basketball (2015-2016 NACC Regular Season Champions), Women’s Lacrosse (2015 MWLC Undefeated Regular Season and Tournament Champions), Men’s Soccer (2015 NACC Regular Season Champions), Women’s Soccer (2015 NACC Undefeated Regular Season Champions), Women’s Tennis (2015 NACC Undefeated Regular Season Champions), Mason Baumgartner (NCAA Division III Championship Qualifier), Pierce Holtfreter (NCAA Division III Championship Qualifier), Ariel Kinlow (NACC 55-meter Indoor Champion, NCAA Division III Championship Qualifier), Nicole Larson (All-American in Pole Vault, finished fifth at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championship), Cassandra Sprotte (NACC 800-meter Indoor Champion), Karli Tatum (NACC Weight Throw, Shot Put Champion), Tyler White (Triple Jump 2015 NACC Outdoor Champion).
