Brian Schipferling joined the Concordia University Wisconsin Athletics staff in February 2013 in the role of Assistant Director for Athletic Communications.
Schipferling assists in the day-to-day athletic communication efforts of CUW's 28 NCAA Division III athletic programs. He came to CUW after serving as the graduate assistant at Wisconsin Lutheran College for a year-and-a-half.
Schipferling is the sport contact for several of the CUW Athletic Teams. For those sports he handles a majority of the online writing, produces game notes, and other duties as they pertain to those teams. He also helps run and monitor the CUW social media accounts on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Youtube.
While at WLC he assisted Sports Information Director Adam Heinzen in writing player biographies, games recaps, season previews and other materials. He served as the statistician for several Warriors home sporting events.. He also helped with the production of media guides for football, soccer, volleyball, basketball, baseball and softball.
Schipferling obtained his Master of Arts Degree from WLC in August 2013 in Education, specializing in leadership and innovation.
He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in May 2011 with a Bachelor's Degree in communication. He also received a minor in political science.
During his time at UWSP, Schipferling worked in the Sports Information Department for one year. While there, he assisted with a variety of duties, including writing player biographies, game recaps and keeping statistics at several Pointers sporting events.
Schipferling is a native of Stevens Point. He currently resides in Hartford.
